Miss Jamie Barlow is a 4th Degree Black Belt in the ATA (American Taekwondo Association) and the chief instructor at Pinnacle Point Martial Arts. She has been studying martial arts since October 1997, is a five time Utah State Champ, and was named Region 119D Black Belt of the Year. In addition to being a nationally certified instructor of Songahm Taekwondo, she has additional specialty certifications and training in Bully Prevention, Child Safety and Abduction Prevention, nationally-accredited Sexual Harassment and Rape Prevention (SHARP) and Pressure Point Control Tactics (PPCT), Warrior Krav Maga, and ATA’s Protech weapons. She has completed training and has experience teaching students with autism, down syndrome, hearing and seeing impaired. Miss Barlow has had the pleasure of teaching a variety of students as young as 2 years old through retirement aged adults, current and former military, sworn law enforcement officers, professors, nurses, lawyers, doctors, pilots, and business professionals.
Miss Barlow is the 6th of 7 children in her family. She has had a hand in helping to raise her 28 nieces and nephews. Utilizing her life experience of growing up in a large family, Miss Barlow has cultivated a style of teaching which makes martial arts instruction dynamic and practical for learners of all ages and abilities.
